Dr Chinwe Muomalu (Nee Nwaozuzu) was born in Nsukka to the family of Prof & Prof B.S.C Nwaozuzu. She attended the university primary school where she excelled as the then Victor Laudorum in the interhouse sports for house A and was the university band leader during her time.

She attended FGGC Owerri and then went on to study Medicine and Surgery in UNN Enugu campus. There after she proceeded to LUTH for a residency in Paediatrics and became a consultant Fellow of the National college of Paediatrician in a record time
